incoming email pop3 or iMP outgoing smtp? authentication? … i'm sending an email to my dr and before i send it they are asking these questions what is my incoming email pop3 or imp and my outgoing mail smtp and authentication

SMTP mail server set up?

SMTP mail server set up? … I setup my yahoo mail with outlook 2003, following are my setup;
Incoming mail server (POP3): plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com port 995
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com ; port 465
The strange thing is my recieveing incoming mail is okay, but out going mail was fail. I need help on how to fix this problem.

In order to use a separate email program, such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, or Thunderbird, with Yahoo Mail you need POP3. It is free in the UK, AU, and NZ but in the US you must pay for Yahoo Mail Plus. It is also required when you try to transfer the mail using smtp or pop3 to another online email. When you do you can set the servers as follows:
Incoming (pop3)
US – plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com SSL 995
UK – pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk SSL 995
AU and NZ – pop.mail.yahoo.com.au SSL 995
Outgoing (smtp)
US – plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com 465 TLS
UK – smpt.mail.yahoo.co.uk SSL 465 TLS
AU and NZ – smpt.mail.yahoo.com.au SSL 465 TLS

NOTE: The same servers are used for ymail and rocketmail. Use the entire email address as the Yahoo ID.

You can also look at the program Ypops. I have no recommendation for or against.

If you want to POP your Yahoo! Mail Plus into Outlook 2002 or 2003 or later, here's how:

Login Information

Hasło: Wprowadź hasło Yahoo!.
Nie zaznaczaj pola obok "Zaloguj się przy użyciu bezpiecznego uwierzytelniania hasła (SPA)"."

Zaznacz pole obok opcji "Mój serwer wychodzący (SMTP) wymaga uwierzytelnienia"."
Kliknij zakładkę “Zaawansowane”.
W sekcji “Serwer przychodzący (POP3)” zaznacz pole obok opcji “Ten serwer wymaga połączenia szyfrowanego (SSL)". Numer portu w polu “Serwer przychodzący (POP3)" powinien automatycznie zmienić się ze 110 na 995. Jeśli tak się nie stanie, upewnij się, że numer portu jest ustawiony na 995.
IMPORTANT—> Under “Outgoing Server (SMTP)”, check the box next to “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL). Enter port number “465” in the “Outgoing Server (SMTP)” field.
