Waarom ontvang ik sinds 2 weken af en toe dit bericht als ik op de onderwerpregel klik om de mail te openen?

Het bericht zou logisch zijn geweest als ik op mijn account had ingelogd en lang inactief was gebleven (d.w.z. het niet had gebruikt), maar dit gebeurt WEL als ik alleen op mijn account inlog.

Zelfs als ik op deze laatste link klik, kom ik nog steeds steeds hetzelfde bericht tegen, ongeacht of ik probeer de Inbox mails te openen of de mails in de bulk map.

Ik heb geprobeerd de aanbeveling "stetrevor" te gebruiken, maar ik word steeds gevraagd om mijn "wachtwoord" in te voeren.

In Microsoft Outlook, nadat ik alles heb ingesteld zoals aanbevolen door deze gebruiker, krijg ik CONSTANTIEEL opnieuw een venster met de tekst "Voer netwerkwachtwoord in". Ik typ het in en druk op OK, het verschijnt weer en gaat zo verder.

Wat moet ik Outlook geven om te gebruiken als mijn inkomende en uitgaande mailserver? ... Ik krijg Outlook niet aan de praat. Ik gebruik mijn juiste Yahoo ID en wachtwoord, maar het zegt me dat het niet juist is.

Voor yahoo mail moet u upgraden naar yahoo mail plus om het volgende te krijgen
de volledige pop3-service voor toegang tot outlook, incredimail,

En gebruik het adres van de yahoo mailservers (voor het adres yahoo.com)
* Inkomende mailserver (POP3): plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com
SSL gebruiken, poort: 995
* Uitgaande mailserver (SMTP): plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Gebruik SSL, poort: 465, authenticatie gebruiken

En voor yahoo mailserveradres (voor yahoo.co.uk adres)
* Inkomende mailserver (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk
* Uitgaande mailserver (SMTP): smpt.mail.yahoo.co.uk

Opmerking: Sommige gebruikers in het Verenigd Koninkrijk kunnen gratis pop3 krijgen. Dit hangt af van of uw internetprovider een overeenkomst heeft met yahoo.
Graham T hierboven gaat ervan uit dat de vraag voor Groot-Brittannië is (dat zou kunnen), maar deze pagina is voor alle Engelstalige gebruikers over de hele wereld, en de pop3-instellingen zijn anders voor pop3 UK en pop3 .com.

Cox blocks port 80, 25, and 21 to non-commercial accounts. This is to stop home users from running a HTTP, FTP, or MAIL server form the residence.
You need to reassign the to a new port, and include it on your url.
Instead of http;//www.MySite.com
it will read http;//www.MySite.com:8080 or whatever port you reassign it to.

Also if you have a Dynamic IP address you will need a site that will assist is Dynamic DNS forwarding. I like http://www.NO-IP.com but there many Dynamic DNS services out there. NO-IP is a free service.

Byethost email problem?

Byethost email problem? … I have just started a sample website where I am trying to learn some php and other skills. I tried to make a sample registration form found over here http://matfar92.byethost7.com/register.php with the aim to send a confirmation email. I am using the mail () function of php.

My problem is not the code, but the email settings. It seems that byethost (being a free host plan for me) does not have any emails. I tried registering with another zillion (ok not zillion) web hosts, but I still like byethost and I am quite comfortable with it. Is there some way by which I can send an email from a php script? for example, can I use my hotmail email to send the 'confirmation mail'?

Many sites I searched tell you to modify some settings but I have no idea whatsoever :/ I am really new in this sector.

I really appreciate some hints or maybe some code to tell me how to send an email from my hotmail to registered users or how to actually send an email (the code is not the problem I think).

If you have a domain we recommend that you look into Google Apps http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/business/index.html as your e-mail provider over our e-mail services on free hosting.

As for PHP Sendmail, if you would like you can use a remote SMTP server for sending your e-mail which operates much faster and has more probability of being received. Many of our users have great success using Google Mail SMTP which is provided free with all gmail.com and Google Apps e-mail accounts.

To configure Gmail you will need to create a Gmail account of course set it for SMTP/POP access:

Yahoo do not offer SMTP and POP mail service to free account users. You need to buy Yahoo Mail PLUS service.
